1972 Clay County, Missouri Sesquicentennial commemorative plate

This is a vintage commemorative ceramic collector plate made by Kettlesprings Kilns of Alliance, Ohio. 

The plate features historical landmarks from Liberty and Excelsior Springs, Missouri, including:

• Clay County Court House (1858–1934) in Liberty, Mo.

• Watkins Mill (1860) built by Waltus Watkins.

• Siloam Spring Pagoda (1917) in Excelsior Springs, Mo.

• Jewell Hall (1858) at William Jewell College.

• Antioch Community Church (1858).

• "Multnomah" Mansion (1854), home of Major John Dougherty.

Based on the excellent condition of the front face, the standard blue colorway, and comparison to similar Kettlesprings Kilns 1972 county sesquicentennial plates, this plate is valued at $20 to $30. It will command the highest premium if sold locally to historical collectors within the Kansas City metro or Clay County area
